Most of the items on JJB’s, virtual shop are hand crafter by Jonah’s very own grandma. Grandma Janet creates beautiful hand sewn gifts; she takes inspiration from the children afflicted with Sanfilippo Syndrome. Lavender gift items are created using lavender grown in a field planted in honor of a little girl named Olivia. Olivia lost her fight with Sanfilippo, but her memory is kept alive with fields of lavender.
Find an adorable purple stuffed mouse, created in honor of the first ever Sanfilippo type C knock out mouse. The color purple is symbolic in that it is the rarest naturally occurring color and is the designated color of the ultra rare group of mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) disorders, of which Sanfilippo is one.
In the past, JJB has hosted a wine and beer tasting event in the foothills of the Willamette Valley, OR. Many of Grandma Janet’s hand sewn gifts, from aprons to wine coasters, reflect the bounty of the, Willamette Valley.
